Students of the Month
Brooklynn Dragoo is our student of the month in Mrs. Terhaar’s room. Brooklynn is an excellent student! She is friendly, caring, and helpful to everyone. She always displays good manners, follows classroom rules, and is very respectful. Brooklynn arrives every morning with a smile on her face and ready to learn! I am so happy to have Brooklynn in my kindergarten classroom.
The student of the month for Mrs. Ridgway’s class is Miss Kyleigh Johnson. From the moment that Kyleigh stepped foot into my classroom she’s been the sweetest, hardworking, and eager student. Kyleigh is always getting her work completed to the best of her ability and then asking if she can help me with anything. I couldn’t have asked for a better helper! She’s also a very sweet and respectful person to all the adults and friend to everyone in our class! I can always count on Kyleigh’s hand to be the first to go into the air when I ask questions and for her to give thoughtful answers. I’m very proud to say that Kyleigh is in my class and can’t wait to see just how far she comes by the end of the year!
Brookelyn Craig is the student of the month in Mrs. Woodbury First grade classroom. Brookelyn is very helpful in the classroom. She helps her classmates with their Chrome books. Brookelyn took it upon herself at the beginning of the school year to assist students with navigating their Chrome books. This was not only a help to her classmates but a help to me as well. I am glad to have Brookelyn in my first grade classroom.
Brooklyn Grimes was chosen student of the month for Mrs. Randall’s class. Brooklyn enjoys dancing and gymnastics. She willingly shares her ideas and answers during class discussions. During group or partner time, she works well with her classmates and treats them with kindness. She treats adults with respect. Since the beginning of the year she has grown as a writer because of her willingness to put time and effort into her journals. As a student, she makes sure her homework is complete and assignment she is signed. I am enjoying having her in my class and look forward to watching her grow this year.
Dylan Kinney is the student of the month in Mrs. McQueen’s class! Dylan is such a hard worker. He always goes out of his way to help others and is such a great friend. He tries his best in all that he does. Great job, Dylan! We are lucky to have you in our class! We are so proud of you!
Ryker Strait has earned Ms. Stafford’s 2 nd Grade Student of the Month! Since the first day of school, Ryker has been an amazing helper and friend. Without being asked, Ryker will help anyone who is struggling, doing so in a calm and patient manner. Ryker’s classmates enjoy being around him as he is friendly to all and includes everyone. In academics, Ryker is a diligent worker who always asks for help when needed and enjoys learning new things. He takes his time to do careful, detailed work that he is proud of. Wonderful job, Ryker!
Our Student of the Month in Room 310 is Rebekah Driskill. She likes to be called Beka. Beka has been working hard in all of her subjects, especially Spelling. She always tries her best on her assignments and takes pride in her work. Beka is very polite and likes to help others whenever she can. She is excited about being an employee of Room 230 inc. and is looking forward to learning how to make Room 230 inc. products. Beka is new to Randolph Southern this year and has made friends by being friendly and ready and willing to get along with everyone. I’m glad Beka came to Randolph Southern and is in Room 310. Keep up the good work Beka!
Mrs. Mosier has selected Delilah Atkins as student of the month.What can I say about Delilah, except WOW! Delilah is one the hardest working students I have ever had! She is an amazing role model in every way. Delilah always gives 110% effort in EVERYTHING she does! She is always willing to help out other students, and continually helps out in class. Delilah brings pride to the Randolph Southern name, and I can’t wait to see her flourish this year!
The student of the month for August in Ms. Kirkman’s room is Memphis Miller. Memphis has done an excellent job following classroom procedures and meeting expectations. She has already shown a great work ethic both inside and outside the classroom. Memphis continually participates during class discussions and activities. She has been a great role model for her peers. She has made a smooth transition from 3rd to 4th grade, and she has started the year out strong! I’m excited to watch Memphis learn and achieve many great things this year!
Isabella Edwards is room 322’s student of the month. Her hand is always up and she will ask questions if she doesn’t understand something. She loves to read and it shows in class discussions. Isabella is kind to everyone and offers to help when someone is struggling. She is learning to keep a positive attitude when met with the challenge of new material. She has a strong work ethic and is satisfied with only giving her best. I am enjoying her in my class this year!
I am proud to say the first student of the month for the 2019-2020 school year is Levi Vance. He is a hard-working, dedicated student. He has a constant smile on his face that can brighten your day. You will see him engaged in the lessons in the class where he actively participates. He challenges himself to go beyond the requirements where he will be the first one in class to finish his unit in decimals on Khan Academy with a perfect 100% on each assignment. He works well with his partner and group members during those times. He shows great leadership skills. Levi is a good friend to his peers. I am excited to say that Levi Vance is our 5th-grade student of the month for room 420.
Wendy Harris has the honor of being the first student of the month, for Room 421, in our 5th grade classroom for this school year. Wendy comes to school with a smile on her face and always puts forth outstanding effort in all her academic areas. She is friendly to everyone and such a good listener to her classmates. Wendy is a leader in our room and a role model on being a hard worker and striving to always do her best. Wendy is busy with playing basketball and being a member of the spell bowl team. We are blessed to have Wendy as part of our 5th grade family.
Mrs. Meyer has selected Braden Austin as student of the Month. Since the very first week of school, Braden has displayed a strong desire to further build his learning. He is an active participant in class and his daily work shows proof that he is applying concepts we have covered in class. When viewing questions that he has missed, Braden will ask for clarification in an effort to further understand. He has been very helpful in assisting his classmates with understanding classroom routines and explaining tasks. Thank you for being a great RSE role model Braden!
Mrs. Markley would like to nominate Madeline Roark as the Student of the Month for August from Room 432 in 6th grade. Madeline is such a joy to have in class each day. She is an extremely hard worker academically. She also always makes sure she is polite and provides compliments to all people :) She has been a great paper sorter in the afternoons, making sure that everything is organized for me and making me a list of students that have missing assignments. Madeline is also an active woodwind member of our band this year. Keep up the great work Madeline!
The student chosen for this month by Mr. Murray is Aiden Johnson. Aiden is a friendly and helpful student to all of his peers. He is always willing to help out other students when they need it and always raising his hand to give an answer. In this past month, he has been doing a great job at his spelling words and reading assignments. He has also been successful during math lessons, and it seems that he has been able to build up his confidence in this subject! I hope that he will continue this confidence for the rest of the school year! Great job Aiden and keep up the great work!!
Tate DeWeese has been chosen as Music Student of the Month by Mrs. Gray. Tate always comes to music with a smile. He is a hard worker and participates fully in whatever we are doing that day. He is a leader in the classroom.
Rex Hinshaw is the PE student of the month. He always greets me with a hug and is happy to be in PE. Rex loves to Play Freeze Tag. He always ask if there is anything I need help with.
